Simple pricing for every stage of a SOP matter

Every plan — Research, Projects and Plus — comes with a 14-day free trial. You don't need to provide credit card details to start your trial; you can sign up at app.sopal.com.au and get full access immediately. If you decide to continue after the 14 days, you add a payment method and choose monthly or annual billing. If you don't add payment details before the trial ends, your account pauses and no charge is made. Your data is preserved for a period so you can return.

Yes. Invoice payment is available on all plans. When you're ready to subscribe after your trial, select the invoice option at checkout and we'll issue a tax invoice payable by bank transfer. Annual plans are the most common choice for invoice payers. If you need a quote for internal approval, contact us at contact and we'll provide one.

Each plan includes a monthly AI-usage allowance that covers typical research and review activity. The allowance exists because AI inference has a real per-query cost. The Plus plan has a higher combined allowance than either Research or Projects individually, reflecting that it covers both product suites.

If your usage exceeds the monthly allowance, we may apply an overage charge for the additional queries. We'll show your usage in your account dashboard and, where possible, notify you before you reach the limit. We will not charge you by surprise — you'll always be able to see where you stand. Details of current allowance sizes and overage rates are shown in your account settings after sign-up, as these may change over time.

Annual plans save approximately 25% compared with paying monthly over twelve months. At current pricing: Research saves around $280 per year ($89.95 × 12 = $1,079.40 vs $799.95 annual); Projects saves around $260 per year ($79.95 × 12 = $959.40 vs $699.95 annual); Plus saves around $500 per year ($149.95 × 12 = $1,799.40 vs $1,299.95 annual). Annual plans are billed as a single upfront payment and include everything in the monthly plan.

Coverage varies by feature:

• Adjudication decision database: Queensland only (7,300+ decisions). The Queensland database is unique to Sopal and is not available for any other jurisdiction at this time.
• AI case-law research: Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
• Payment-claim and payment-schedule tools, due-date calculator, interest calculator: Queensland (Building Industry Fairness (Security of Payment) Act 2017), New South Wales (Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 1999), Victoria (Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 2002) and South Australia (Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 2009).

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from your account settings. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated for the remainder of the billing period. If you downgrade, the change takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle and you retain access to your current plan until then.

You can switch from monthly to annual billing at any time — the annual rate takes effect immediately and any unused portion of your current monthly period is credited. Switching from annual to monthly is available at the end of your annual term.

You can cancel at any time from your account settings — no phone calls, no forms, no lock-in. On a monthly plan, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month and you retain access until then. On an annual plan, cancellation stops the plan from renewing at the end of the current annual term; we do not provide pro-rata refunds for the unused portion of an annual subscription, so we recommend cancelling close to your renewal date if you've decided not to continue. If you have any issues cancelling, contact us and we'll handle it promptly.

All prices shown on this page are in Australian dollars and are exclusive of GST. GST (10%) is added at checkout for Australian subscribers. A tax invoice is issued for every payment, showing the GST component separately. If your organisation is registered for GST, the GST component is fully claimable as an input tax credit in the normal way.

Current Sopal subscriptions are per-user (single-seat). If you need access for a team — for example, a law firm wanting multiple fee earners on Research, or a construction business needing several project managers on Projects — contact us at contact to discuss a team arrangement. We can issue separate subscriptions on a single invoice and may be able to offer volume pricing for larger teams.
